You know those pictures of women with that awesome glow, that dewy skin that doesn’t look too greasy or like their face is melting off? That perfect balance of dew and matte?! Wait, is there such a thing? I have yet to find the perfect answer, but along the way I’ve found some really amazing products that can help achieve that gorgeous glow without breaking the bank. Even though it’s still spring and everyday the weather is different here in AZ, I yearn for that summer glow. It’s too cold half of the time to lay out and my tanning bed days have pretty much come to an end, so I’ve turned to the smelly brown stuff. This lotion from Tan Physics has saved my life! It has more of a citrus-y smell to it and it dries super fast… You’re welcome 😉
I’ve also mentioned in recent posts how much I love mineral makeup (Glo Minerals and Bare Minerals are my faves) and this Bare Minerals foundation and this Complexion Rescue are a great start. I have t-zone issues so I’m careful with how much moisturizer I use before applying my foundations. I’m still OBSESSED with this Marc Jacobs Coconut primer, but even still there are times I just use these foundations alone because they’re really hydrating by themselves. I really like to pair these with this Bare Minerals complete coverage concealer and a few dabs of this bronzer. I’m also not one to leave with out some sort of setting powder, but with the dewey look I’m careful not to use too much and this Laura Mercier one is my FAVE but here is a great (cheaper) one from NYX that I’m loving! I usually apply the bronzer after this. I tap a little shimmer shadow on my lid like this one, a few swipes of mascara (my new fave here), a swig of this Buxom lip gloss and out the door I go!
Getting the summer glow look is pretty simple once you have the right tools, but it can be tricky if you over do it. I hope you give these products a try and let me know what you think!
