Who doesn’t love a great pair of over the knee boots?! Ok, ok, I know there are some of you out there who aren’t sold on the look, but trust me, you don’t need to be 5’11 and above to be able to pull them off, SERIOUSLY. I have been obsessed with tall boots since high school but when I discovered OTK boots 6 years ago, it took my obsession to a Whole. New. Level! I was a babe on a serious budget surfing the net and happened to stumble across the perfect pair on charlotterusse.com (no joke). I loved them so much, I ended up ordering two pairs, one in black and one in cognac brown…. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ME! They also happened to be buy 1 get 1 FREE, yes and thank you! I wore those knock offs every winter for 6 years straight. Last season I finally had to retire them when I realized they were no longer the boots I once knew. The coating was peeling off and the truth was coming out of the toes. Real leather? No way. Faux leather? Not even close. They probably always looked like a cheap ‘hooker boot’….but regardless of the quality, it was still a sad day in my closet. Of course until I replaced them that afternoon with a new perfect pair of amazing OTK boots, they were REAL leather and hopefully would last a whole lot longer than the deceased ones. The reason I love this style of boot so much, is that I feel my body is more proportioned with a higher boot shaft. Maybe it takes away from my saddlebag situation? Maybe not. It’s extremely likely that its all in my head, but thats what I believe and I am sticking to it. They look fantastic with leggings and I won’t wear my jeans with any other tall boot. They complete a comfy day look with an oversized sweater and they compliment shorter skirts and sweater dresses beautifully. Plus, if theres a little heal on them, they will be sure to elongate those stems! I have since collected a few more perfect pairs of OTK boots and I am sharing my favorites with you!
